Submissions for ASE’s new case reports journal, CASE, are being accepted. ASE members asked for a case reports journal for cardiovascular imaging, and we listened. This type of journal is important to meet the needs of the medical community by providing timely, practical information on the challenges that clinicians face daily. This open access journal also provides authors with fast-paced publication, a wide audience, and enhanced visibility for their work. Dr. Gregory M. Scalia, one of CASE‘s editorial board members, summed it up perfectly when he said, “I truly believe that cases form the backbone of practicing medicine, and case reports are an important entry level for young doctors and sonographers to learn to write and publish.”

There is no fee for submission, and if accepted, ASE members receive a significant publication discount on their CASE paper. If you have not yet renewed your membership for 2017, you may do so at ASEcho.org/Renew.
